Mrs. Lopez Leads

I teach music at Ecole Kenwood, a French Immersion program, for students in pre-kindergarten to seventh grade in Columbus City Schools. In my classroom we sing in English and French; play ukuleles and recorders; go on field trips all over our culturally rich city; and put on fantastic musicals in French and in English that showcase our many Ecole Kenwood etoiles ("stars," for you non-French speakers out there).

I graduated from The Ohio State University with Bachelor of Music Education Degree. I am certified in the music teaching pedagogy of Kodaly, trained at Capital University and in Kecskemet, Hungary. I also have a Masters of Education in School Counseling from John Carroll University. In addition, I have many hours of other classes because I love to learn!

Mrs. Lopez Loves

I am the lucky mom of two beautiful daughters, Skylar and Mackenna, and wife to my wonderful husband, Manny. We have a dog--Gracie, a cat--Mia, and a gerbil--Rocket. I am a farm girl at heart, my family raises beef cattle and harvests grain. I have many hobbies and am happiest when I am creating something.
